Make your own survey!

  1. Go to Google Drive and create a new Google Form
  2. Think of a lesson, course, teaching strategy you would like feedback on
  3. Identify your student learning objectives, base your questions on those
  4. Try to avoid yes or no questions
    1. Instead of asking “Was this helpful for you?”, ask “How was this helpful?”
    2. Instead of asking “Would you change anything?”, ask “What would you change?”
  5. Be specific (when you can)
    1. Instead of a general question like “What did you think?”, ask ​“Which activity was the most helpful?” or “I saw that you spent the most time on the portrait activity, but you didn’t spend any time drawing hands. Can you tell me why that is, and what can I do to help you feel more confident drawing hands?
