Artist Website
A website is an important tool that gives your art a digital platform to be shared with a wider audience; not only with friends and family, but with colleges and prospective employers.
Your website should have:
1. Your best, most successful work from the past couple of years.
2. Images of your work that are professional-looking and high quality: cropped, edited, and presentable. Preferably with information (title, medium, year, dimensions)
3. An artist statement that gives your audience insight about your work.
4. Consider having some progress pieces, sketchbook pages, and scraps to show your physical and mental process behind your work.
Website host recommendations:
1. Weebly: My #1 recommendation! This is what I use for this website (kostichart.com).
Pro: Simple and easy to use. Con: Customization is limited.
2. Wix: What I use for my own artist website!
Pro: Very customizable. Con: More complex.
